SB Anchor Bolts
The geometry of the SB bolt is the latest development in high-capacity anchors. The smooth transition angle of the bolt positions the head of the anchor into an optimum position in the concrete stem wall without creating excessive horizontal forces. The SB7/8x24 is designed to maximize performance with minimum embedment while the SB1x30 is intended to cover holdown devices which exceed the capacity of SSTB anchor bolts.
Simpson Strong-Tie has introduced the SB5/8x24, offering a new load-tested design that exceeds the maximum capacity of any of our holdown devices that use a 5/8” diameter anchor bolt. The SB5/8x24 is listed in ESR-2611, the industry’s first code report issued for proprietary anchor bolts evaluated to the AC 399 criteria.
Special Features:
Material: ASTM F1554 Grade 36
