Z2 clips secure 2x4 flat blocking between joists or trusses to support sheathing.

Material: Z clips - see table. A21 and A23 - 18 ga.; all other A angles - 12 ga.

Finish: Galvanized. Some products available in stainless steel or ZMAX®; see Corrosion-Resistance.

  1. Allowable loads have been increased 33% and 60% for earthquake or wind loading; no further increase allowed; reduce where other loads govern.
  2. NAILS: 10dx1 1 1/2" = 0.148" dia. x 1 1/2" long, 10d = 0.148" dia. x 3" long. See other nail sizes and information.

  2. Allowable loads have been increased 25% for roof loading (Z clips), no further increase allowed; reduce where other loads govern.
  3. Z4 and Z6 loads apply with a nail into the top and a nail into the seat.
  4. NAILS: 16d = 0.162" dia. x 3 1/2" long, 10dx1 1/2 = 0.148" dia. x 1 1/2" long. See other nail sizes and information.
