“A post base is a post base”… Not so.
To better serve our customers, we have taken
one of our top selling products and made
it better. Faster, easier installation of the “Q”
models make installing post bases much
more user-friendly and removes the guess
work associated with installing the bolts.
The CBQ removes the potential for
over-drilled and mis-aligned bolt holes
and helps avoid project red tags.
The CBQ requires only a drill and
a hex driver while the CB requires
a drill, drill bit, ratchet and
adjustable wrench.
In side-by-side tests, the CBQ post
base installs 37% faster than the CB.
The CBQ uses our SDS screws, while
the CB requires 2 bolts, nuts and
washers. The CBQ comes with the
fasteners, while the CB does not.
No need to remove the bolt for
inspection. All screw lengths are
stamped on the head of the screw.
When installed, the SDS screws do not
remove material the way bolts do.
Both CB and CBQ have the same loads.
SDS screws provide reduced reveal for
easier drywall or finish coverage.
As you can see, installing 100
CBQ44-SDS2 would save the
installer $367.25 versus the
CB44. Also available in HDG
for exterior installations.
