PC and EPC caps provide a custom connection for post-beam combinations at medium design loads.

Material: PC - 12 gauge; PC-16 - 16 gauge

Finish: Galvanized. Some products available in ZMAX® coating; see Corrosion Information.

Some of these models are load-rated for use with Strong-Drive® SD Screws.
See the load values.
  1. Allowable loads have been increased for wind or earthquake load durations with no further increase allowed; reduce where other load durations govern.
  2. Lateral loads are in the direction parallel to the beam.
  3. Allowable loads are for nails only.
  4. Uplift loads do not apply to splice conditions.
  5. Spliced conditions must be detailed by the Designer to transfer tension loads between spliced members by means other than the post cap.
  6. Structural composite lumber columns have sides that show either the wide face or the edges of the lumber strands/veneers. Values in the tables reflect installation into the wide face. See technical bulletin T-SCLCOLUMN for values on the narrow face (edge).
  7. NAILS: 16d = 0.162" dia. x 3 1/2" long. See other nail sizes and information.
