The LJS26DS is a common truss hanger that incorporates Simpson's patented double shear nailing. This innovation distributes the load through two points on each joist nail for greater strength. It also allows the use of fewer nails, faster installation, and the use of common nails for all connections.

Material: 18 gauge

Finish: Galvanized.

Installation:

Use all specified fasteners.
Nails must be driven at an angle through the joist or truss into the header to achieve the tabulated resistances.
10d commons may be used at 0.82 of the tabulated factored resistance.
With 3x carrying members, use 16d x 2 1/2" nails into the header and 16d commons into the joist with no reduction in resistance. With 2x carrying members, use 10d x 1 1/2" nails into the header and 10d commons into the joist, and reduce the resistance to 0.64 of the table value.

Factored uplift resistances have been increased 15% for wind or earthquake loading; no further increase is allowed.
Designer must ensure that hanger is compatible with truss when reduced heel height is used.
d_e is the distance from the bearing seat to the top joist nail.
