Corrosion Information for Connector Products
In January 2004, the pressure treated wood
industry voluntarily shifted from using CCA-C to alternative chemical treatments.
To determine this impact on connectors, Simpson Strong-Tie conducted industry
approved tests and found that many of the alternatives were more corrosive
