Description
This full day workshop is designed for specifiers and building designers interested in learning about proper connections. Our goal is to better educate you on the specifics of today’s connector technology and to demonstrate to you why there is “No Equal” to Simpson Strong-Tie products.
During the morning we will review the code requirements for structural wood framing connections, followed by an overview of Simpson Strong-Tie products, developed to satisfy those requirements and do so at the lowest installed cost. We will review issues relating to the consideration of metal connectors and fasteners due to corrosion and how to select the proper finish.
During the afternoon we will review SST Anchor Systems solutions for concrete and masonry anchorage, including adhesives and mechanical anchor solutions using both our design manual and current software. We will review and discuss the implications of anchorage under the Cracked Concrete Design methods in CSA A23.3-04 Annex D.
.
By the end of the workshop, you will have seen the very latest developments in the world of structural connectors and anchors and will leave with a new understanding of where Simpson Strong-Tie products fit into your building requirements.
