Position Summary

The Accountant ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, analyzing, and reconciling transactions and GL balances. The Accountant is responsible for creating and delivering financial information as requested and on a periodic basis.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

% Time Job Responsibilities
60% Perform various monthly closing activities, including journal voucher preparation.
Reconcile accounts and check the accuracy of journal entries to ensure that the general ledger is accurate and complete.
Check and analyze financial information and prepare financial reports so that management has accurate and timely information for making decisions. These reports may include profit and loss statements, balance sheets, analytics, and other Ad Hoc reporting.
Assist in reviewing Capital Expenditure Requests as requested.
Assist with various control requirements and Projects as required.
20% Fulfill Internal and External Audit requests, in addition to maintaining Sarbanes-Oxley documentation.
10% Prepare monthly variance analysis.
10% Assist with capital expenditure justifications.
Assist in maintaining the cost accounting system.

Education & Certification Requirements

Required or Preferred Degree or Certification
Required BS in Accounting, Finance or related field

Minimum Experience

2 Years Accounting experience (preferably in a manufacturing environment)

Computer / Software Skills Ability to work in a Microsoft software environment. Excellent Microsoft Excel experience to include vLookups, Pivot Tables, IF statements, etc.
SAP/ERP knowledge a plus.
Axapta knowledge a plus.

Travel Required / %: <5%, this job may require occasional overnight travel

This full-time, exempt position is located in Stockton, California.
