Business Process Owner (BPO) – Inventory Management

Position Summary:

Simpson Strong-Tie's Business Process Owners (BPO) are leading the company through the SAP implementation process. The BPO position is an elite assignment as part of the team that is shaping the future of the company's business processes and supporting future growth.

The Inventory Management Business Process Owner is accountable for the design and implementation of the inventory control business processes in SAP including forecasts, inter-branch stock transfers and back order management. The BPO is responsible for understanding how the processes are currently implemented throughout the company, and identifying and resolving gaps between current implementation and SAP best practices. The BPO will be part of the team that owns and manages the global template being implemented company-wide, as well as for the country-specific localizations.

The BPO is responsible for validating data migrated from the legacy system plus new data required by SAP. The BPO will support testing for his/her business process, and end-user training.

The BPO will work collaboratively with the other BPOs, the IT Business Analysts, and with Subject Matter Experts who will assist in the design, testing and training.

The BPO will be a company-wide ambassador for the SAP Project, championing the project, and supporting Organizational Change Management efforts.

35% Work with business stakeholders and business analysts to identify and document inventory management business processes and any exceptions to SAP's best practices and to the global template. Accountable for the global future-state business process design and adoption.
30% Responsible for cleansing and validating data migrated from the legacy system and training end-users on managing the data.
30% Responsible for working with business SMEs and other system users to drive unit testing, integration testing and usability testing.
5% Support the project's organizational change management strategy,

Travel Required / %: This job requires domestic/international travel, up to 80% of the time.

These full-time, exempt positions located in various branches throughout the organization.
