The Field Engineer for structural steel will coordinate all sales and market development activities while working with design professionals, specifiers and steel fabricators to obtain specification of Simpson structural steel product offerings. This position is based out of our Pitt Meadows, BC branch location.

25% | Provide technical support for getting specification for Structural Steel components offered by SST. |
25% | Conduct technical presentations for individuals, groups and professional associations involved in new construction and/or the upgrade of existing structural steel systems focusing on general technical knowledge as well as the advantages of specifying of Simpson products. (Training on SST design software to gain specification.) |
25% | Evaluate and establish channels of distribution to support sales opportunities of structural steel specifications. Including pricing and tracking of known jobs in relevant market. |
15% | Develop and maintain relationships with engineers, engineering firms and steel fabricators within the region. |
10% | Coordinate and assist with development of marketing and technical literature |

This position requires domestic up to 50% of the time with occasional overnight stays.
This full-time, exempt position is located in Pitt Meadows, British Columbia.
Relocation is not available for this position.
This position reports to the Branch Engineering Manager at Pitt Meadows, British Columbia.
