Field Engineer – ICI (Southwestern U.S.)
The Field Engineer serves as a technical expert to sales representatives and external customers, such as specifiers, building officials, and contractors in the Southwestern U.S. territory. The Field Engineer provides technical information regarding our product lines that are commonly used on projects in the Infrastructure-Commercial-Industrial market segments (primarily Anchoring Systems; Repair, Protection & Strengthening Systems and Cold-Formed Steel Connector product lines). Use experience, product knowledge and training to develop solutions for a wide variety of applications. Work closely with sales team to identify and support closing of sales opportunities. The Field Engineer is someone who communicates well and is Humble, Hungry and Smart. This position will be based out of the employee’s home office and will support the Southwestern U.S. (Las Vegas, NV; Arizona; New Mexico; El Paso, Texas).
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

|25%||Provide technical support to our customers and staff for the following product lines (anchor systems, concrete repair, protect & strengthening systems, cold-formed steel commercial connectors).|
|25%||Conduct technical presentations for individuals, groups and professional associations involved in new construction and/or the repair and rehabilitation of existing structures, focusing on both general technical knowledge as well as the advantages and use of Simpson Strong-Tie products.|
|20%||Establish and maintain relationships with design professionals, specifiers, and major contractors to obtain the specification of Simpson Strong-Tie products.|
|10%||Develop solutions for a wide variety of applications using your experience, product knowledge and training|
|10%||Identify sales opportunities and work closely with the sales team to support closing of sales opportunities|
|10%||Identify new products and testing opportunities. Assist in development and review of technical literature.|
Education & Certification Requirements

Travel Required / %: This job requires domestic/international travel, 40-50% of the time.
This full-time, exempt position will support the Southwestern U.S. (Arizona; Las Vegas, NV; New Mexico and El Paso, Texas). The position will be based out of the employee’s home office, preferably in the Phoenix, Arizona area.
Relocation will be considered for this position.
