The primary responsibility of the Maintenance Technician is to troubleshoot, repair, and conduct preventative maintenance on metal stamping equipment and supporting equipment. The ideal candidate will be self-driven and able to perform the required tasks with minimal guidance. That’s year one.

|60%||Assign work as required, ensure work is completed according to standards and instructions. Perform inspections. Completing work efficiently, including repairs, preventative maintenance and set-up and install new machinery. Perform scheduled, preventative and repair maintenance on plant equipment. Perform unscheduled maintenance and repairs on equipment. Check drives, motors, belts, check fluid levels, replace parts or perform other maintenance actions, following checklists. Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand and power tools and reassemble equipment Ensure that maintenance technicians are trained on equipment and processes used in the department. Continuously pursue opportunities to improve processes in collaboration with supervisory teams and maintenance team.|
|15%||Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blue prints, schematics, repair manuals, prat catalogues as necessary. Inspect, operate and test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.|
|15%||Fabricate and maintain fixtures, tools, forms etc. that are required in the production and testing of products. Maintain maintenance records. Communicate effectively with Production Operations and assure all work is being performed with satisfactory results. Update department projects and status board.|
|10%||Secure outside contractors for repair work while controlling costs, consumables, parts etc. Order repair parts, maintain inventory of parts required for service and repairs. Develop and maintain good vendor relationships. Investigate and analyze new sources of supplies.|
