Position Summary

The Retail Sales Representative is an integral part of the Company’s sales force, focusing on national account customers. This job requires the creation and maintenance of good relationships with customer management and associates

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

% Time Job Responsibilities
80% Identify opportunities, understand competitive trade-offs, and work with the National Accounts Manager, other Retail Sales Representatives, and other sales force team members to provide “no-equal” knowledge and technical support to customers.
20% Provide training to Simpson’s inside and outside sales team members for all product lines. Represent the company in a positive and professional manner at industry association events. Review product literature for accuracy.

Education & Certification Requirements

Required or Preferred Degree or Certification
Preferred Bachelor’s degree (B.A/B.S.) with emphasis in Construction Management or Sales & Marketing.

Experience

5 years Related experience in Sales, Marketing, Territory/Account service and Maintenance and or Construction related industries.

Language Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, procedure manuals and general specification. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Analytical Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Driving record Possess and maintain a driving record which complies with company policy.
Travel Travel from home daily with frequent overnight stays.

This full-time, exempt position is located in the Greater Los Angeles Metropolitan Area
