North America Standard Terms and Conditions of Sale
- All prices and designs subject to change without notice.
- All sales subject to credit approval.
- All sales taxable unless buyer provides valid resale number prior to shipment.
- Payment terms: 1% 10 days, net 30. F.O.B. shipping point unless otherwise specified.
- Delinquent accounts subject to a 1 1/2% per month finance charge or the maximum rate permitted by law, if less.
- Freight charged as stated on invoice.
- Orders shipped in installments will be billed and paid for separately.
- Special orders cannot be returned. Stock parts may be returned only if request is made within 90 days of purchase and written authorization is received. Buyer must allow Simpson Strong-Tie Company Inc. ("Simpson Strong-Tie") to inspect parts at a mutually agreeable time to obtain written return authorization. If 100% resalable parts are returned within two weeks of authorization, buyer will receive a maximum credit of 75%, less restocking and freight charges.
- Simpson Strong-Tie is not responsible for delays after shipped date.
- Buyer will be assessed a restocking charge for refused shipments.
- All claims for shortages, damages, etc., must be made within 5 days from shipped date.
- If part does not meet customer's requirements or specifications, buyer should contact Simpson Strong-Tie immediately for correction or replacement.
- For the Limited Warranty applicable to catalog products, see www.strongtie.com/information/limited-warranties.
- Any modified, special order or non-catalog products, or any products that are not installed strictly in accordance with Simpson Strong-Tie's installation procedures, are provided "AS IS" and without any representation or warranty of any kind.
- Any person modifying products or installation procedures or designing special order or non-catalog products for fabrication by Simpson Strong-Tie shall, regardless of specific instructions to the user, indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Simpson Strong-Tie for any and all claimed losses or damages occasioned in whole or in part by such products.
- Modifications to products or changes in installation procedures should be made only by a qualified licensed/certified building design professional, a licensed professional engineer or licensed architect ("Designer"). The performance of such modified products or altered installation procedures is the sole responsibility of the Designer.
- Any person modifying Simpson Strong-Tie. products must provide the installer with specific instructions on the modified products' specifications, installation and use.
- You should review our website and consult a qualified Designer familiar with all applicable building codes each time you use a Simpson Strong-Tie product.
- Consult www.strongtie.com for disclaimers, warnings, General Notes, General Instructions for the Installer, General Instructions for the Designer, Building Codes, Corrosion Information and other important information. Consult Simpson Strong-Tie for applications for which there is no catalog product, or for connectors for use in hostile environments, with excessive wood shrinkage, or with abnormal loading or erection requirements.
