The H10S is designed to hold a rafter or truss on both sides for high-uplift applications with wood, concrete or concrete masonry walls. The longer bottom strap extends down the wall for higher capacity. Installation is fast and easy, with the Simpson Strong-Tie® Titen HD® screw anchors providing higher capacity. These double-sided hurricane ties provide faster installation than using two single-sided straps.

Installation

  • Use all specified fasteners; see General Notes
  • Connectors attached using hex head 3/8"- diameter Titen HD screw anchors
  • Products shall be installed such that the Titen HD screw anchors are not exposed to the exterior environment
  • Attach to grouted concrete block with a minimum of one #5 rebar horizontal in the top lintel block
  • Hurricane ties do not replace solid blocking

Load Tables

  1. Min. f'm = 1,500 psi and f'c = 2,500 psi.
  2. The products shall be installed such that Titen HD® anchors are not exposed to the weather.
