Our bolt-in roof frames feature telescoping rails that attach to a structure from under the roof decking—no welding required. For new construction, our drop-in roof frames are delivered fully assembled and weldable. Both systems are field-adjustable, offering a superior alternative to angle iron or channel steel. Pre-Engineered, Bolt-in Roof Support Frames
QuickFrames bolt-in frames have telescoping rails that adjust to ‘as-built’ building conditions, do not require welding, install easily under the roof deck, can be relocated after installation, and have shorter lead times than conventional steel. Having this versatility means you can adjust QuickFrames when changes occur giving you flexibility plus alleviating the stress that comes with constant design changes and detailing.
Bolt-in, pre-engineered galvanized steel roof frames are lightweight for a two-person install, requiring 20 minutes or less, and a 3/4″ impact driver.
Fully-Assembled Drop-In Structural Roof Frames
QuickFrames drop-in frames are named for their simplicity—they are specifically designed to be dropped in by crane or reach-out forklift.
The frames are pre-constructed and pre-assembled to your job specifications before they leave our shop. So when they arrive at the jobsite, they are ready to go with minimal effort.

How do I order and what do I need to place my QuickFrames order?
Answer: To order, you can submit your specification information through the Request a Quote page on our website, or you can send your plans via email to structuralsteelsales@strongtie.com.
For small frame quantities (>10 frames), we need the joist/beam spans (in inches), the opening dimension running parallel to the joist, the type of roof, and weight of the rooftop equipment being supported.
For large frame quantities, send us a complete set of plans and we will perform the take-offs for you.
How do I prepare for a QuickFrames Shipment
Answer: Your QuickFrames order will arrive on a pallet. You will need a forklift to unload or lift gate service is also available.
How do we determine which hanger to use?
Answer: You don’t need to figure this out on your own. We will assign the appropriate hanger for your project based on the design criteria
Are weldable hangers available?
Answer: Yes! Weldable hangers are available and will be determined according to the uplift needs. We can also provide site-specific hangers.
