HUSTF Heavy Top-Flange Hanger with Double-Shear Nailing

HUSTF is a heavy-duty hybrid hanger that incorporates the advantages of both face-mount and top-mount hangers. This top-flange hanger features double-shear nailing where the nail is installed into the joist and header, distributing the load through two points on each joist nail for greater strength. This economical joist hanger cannot be modified.

Material

  • 14 ga.

Finish

  • Galvanized. Some products available in HDG; see Corrosion Information.

Installation

  • Use all specified fasteners; see General Notes
  • Not acceptable for nailer or welded applications
  • With 3x carrying members, use 0.162″ x 2 1/2" nails in the header and 0.162″ x 3 1/2" nails in the joist
