The Strong-Tie Undergraduate Fellowship provides awardees of the Simpson Strong-Tie Scholarship valuable resources and opportunities for their education and career.
As part of the Fellowship, awardees are offered access to industry contacts, relevant training, job leads, peer connections and community, plus an insider look at Simpson Strong-Tie as an industry leader in structural systems research, testing and innovation. Through their participation, awardees can build the industry knowledge and network to help maximize their future professional growth and success.
Simpson Strong-Tie Student Scholarship
Our scholarship program offers assistance to architecture, structural and civil engineering and construction management students. Applicants must be enrolled as juniors (at least 60 semester hours or equivalent) or seniors in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an eligible four-year college or university for the entire upcoming academic year.

First-time awardees are invited to a week-long networking and learning opportunity with Simpson Strong-Tie in the San Francisco Bay Area. You’ll meet with industry professionals and company leaders, tour our extensive manufacturing facilities, participate in hands-on demos and connect with fellow Scholarship recipients.
Free Design Apps and Tools and Software Limited Licenses
Members of the Fellowship have access to all of our complimentary specification tools. Our broad selection of software and web application technology solutions help industry professionals find the most innovative and cost-effective product and design recommendations for their jobs. In addition, you’ll get limited licenses to some of our design software.
Job and Networking Opportunities
Members benefit from online and in-person resources and events, participate in Q&As with industry professionals, and are eligible to join the Fellowship LinkedIn group for ongoing networking and professional opportunities.
Informal Mentorship
As part of the Fellowship, you’ll have access to contacts within Simpson Strong-Tie and the building industry who will be able to help advise you and answer questions related to your future career. Your primary Simpson Strong-Tie contact will remain in contact with you throughout your educational and professional life with opportunities for collaboration, visibility and growth.
