The new code-listed SABR anchor bolt is a cast-in-place anchor providing five different diameters for all Simpson Strong-Tie holdowns, including the new HDUE™ holdown and HTTH™ heavy tension tie.
A smarter anchor bolt solution
The hot-forged anchor bolt’s one-piece sweep design maximizes its position in the concrete, providing increased tension capacity. In addition, all five anchor diameters feature a 6" threaded section to accommodate a variety of holdown seat heights, including all Simpson Strong-Tie holdowns, when installed on a 2x or 3x sill plate. To simplify product specification, the SABR replaces both our SB and SSTB® models. In most common applications, SABR has significantly higher loads than previous models.
